ABOUT THE VENTURI TUBE MODEL 2300
(Fiberglass Insert)
History:
Lambda Square Inc. and its
predecessors have been in
the design and fabrication
of the Fiberglass venturi
flow meter since 1965.
During that period, we have
fabricated Venturis in line
sizes 1/2" to 96". In
addition, we have designed &
constructed special molds
and tooling for a wide
variety of applications.
We draw from many
years of design experience
and have developed computer
software that will quickly
size, price, and generate
manufacturing drawings for
your special requirements.
We are also a supplier of
fiberglass Venturis to other
primary element
manufacturers, establishing
a long and diversified
record of successful
applications.
Why FRP?
FRP
(Fiberglass Reinforced
Polyester) provides the
capability to fabricate our
standard product in many
sizes, as well as special
lines sizes to meet unique
and challenging
applications. Completely
made in the USA, these tubes
are light in weight,
providing savings in
material, shipping and
installation cost. With
proper material selection
and manufacturing practice,
FRP flowmeters are
dimensionally stable and
will assure the user of
accurate flow measurement
for many years. In many
instances, FRP is superior
to stainless steel & other
alloys. FRP flowmeters are
highly corrosion resistant
and can be manufactured for
use with a wide range of
line fluids, line pressures
and temperature conditions.
No other single material
provides as much
versatility!
Description:
The Model 2300 is an all
fiberglass design, utilizing
DERAKANE* epoxy Vinyl Ester
Resin(*DERAKANE is a
Trademark of the Dow
Chemical company). It is
non-corrosive, self
scouring, dimensionally
stable and can be used with
line temperatures up to 180
degrees F with standard
resin, up to 300 degrees F
with high temperature resin.
The Lambda Model 2300 can be
supplied with FRP throat
standard, or with Bronze,
Stainless Steel or other
metal throat materials. A
coated carbon steel holding
flange can also be supplied
for large line sizes and
high pressure applications.
Standard high and low
pressure connections are 316 Stainless Steel hexagonal
extension nipples. The tube
is supplied ready to install
with integral neoprene
flange gaskets. Other gasket
materials available upon
request. Pipe sizes ranging
from 1/2" to 120".
The Model 2300 features a
short laying length design
with high accuracy and low
permanent pressure loss. The
flow conditioning within the
inlet section allows for
closer coupling with
upstream pipe fittings.
Designed as a minimum
headloss flowmeter, the
outlet cone can be extended
to further minimize
non-recoverable headloss.
An optional static tap kit
can be provided to locate
tap upstream for
applications involving
partical laden fluids that
may build up and plug the
upstream (inlet) pressure
port.
