About the Elbow Flow Meters

ABOUT THE ELBOW FLOW METER

As fluid passes through a pipe elbow, the pressure at the outside radius of the elbow increases due to centrifugal force. Pressure taps located at the outside and inside of the elbow at 22.5 or 45 degrees will generate a reproducible measurement. Taps located at angles greater then 45 degrees are not recommended as flow separation may cause erratic readings.

Units are individually flow carbrated prior to shipment.
